A Jar with a Hard Job — Tea has three enemies: air, light, and the smell of last night's dinner. This caddy answers with thick Jingdezhen porcelain — glazed, inert, and light-proof — so leaf keeps its character between brewings. The blue-and-white painting is done the old way: cobalt under the glaze, so the pattern cannot scratch off or fade.

Why Porcelain, Not Metal — Metal tins pick up and pass on odors; porcelain holds none. Glazed ceramic also blocks light completely, which is what dulls green and white teas fastest. If you store more than one tea, dedicate one caddy per tea — the jar pays for itself in saved leaf.
How to Use?
1) Rinse with warm water and dry fully before first fill.
2) Fill to about 80% — leaf needs a little air room.
3) Seat the lid with a gentle press.
4) Keep away from the stove and strong sunlight.
Care
Hand wash, dry fully before refilling (damp porcelain is worse than none). Not for dishwasher or microwave. Doubles happily as a sugar or salt jar by the coffee station.
A Note on Variation
Hand-painted underglaze blue varies slightly piece to piece; brushwork density and shade will not match the photo exactly.
