Pick Your Meaning, Not Just Your Stone
Chinese pendants are chosen for what they say, not how they shine. A peace buckle for safe travels. A laughing Buddha for contentment. Guanyin for calm. A leaf for growth — 金枝玉叶, the golden branch, the jade leaf. A brush, for the person who still writes things down.
Five styles, one cord, one quiet celadon tone. Choose the one that matches the year someone is having.
What you get
One carved jadeite pendant, glutinous (nongzhong) grade — natural stone, untreated, no appraisal certificate included, priced accordingly
Dimensions: 20x10x4 cm
Dark braided cord, knotted and adjustable, ready to wear out of the box
Weight: 60 g
Materials, Plainly Stated
The stone is natural jadeite, glutinous grade — the milky, even texture the name comes from. It is not imperial green, it is not glassy, and it does not come with a certificate. That is what $89 buys: a real, honest stone at the grade where jade stops being jewelry-store and starts being wearable. If you want certified imperial green, that is a different store and a different decade of savings.
The cord is braided waxed textile — stronger than a chain at this weight, kinder to the carving, and replaceable for the price of a coffee. We do not claim silver, and we do not claim gold. The stone is the point.
How to Wear
Alone, on dark linen or wool — the celadon reads best against muted tones, not against prints.
Layered shorter than a metal chain so the pendant sits clear of everything else.
The knot adjusts; slide it gently. Wax cord stiffens with water — keep it out of the shower and the cord will keep its color for years.
Care
Jade is tougher than it looks but does not like shocks: keep it off tile floors and out of pockets with keys. Wipe with a soft dry cloth; no perfume, no ultrasonic cleaners. The cord prefers dry air. If the cord ever frays, the pendant unsits — re-knot it on any 1.5 mm cord
A Note on Natural Stone
Jadeite is graded by nature, not assembled: clouds, fine threads, and uneven tone are part of a real stone. The five motifs are carved individually, so carving depth varies slightly from piece to piece — your Buddha will not be exactly this Buddha. That is the difference between carved and molded, and it is why we photograph the actual stone.
