Burn Half, Store Half — Incense is sold in bundles and burned one stick at a time, which means every household with incense owns a quantity of loose sticks and nowhere to put them. This box solves both ends: light a stick inside the box, and the rest of the bundle lives below.
What You Get
Wooden horizontal incense box , wood: ebony-style / walnut approx.21 cm long
Cut-out lid pattern — smoke escapes through the openwork
Burn channel holds standard 21 cm sticks lying flat
The Case for Burning Inside
An open stick on a dish scatters ash with every draft and sheds smoke you cannot direct. Inside the box, the stick burns slowly along a channel, the cut-out lid turns smoke into a thin thread, and the ash stays where it falls. It is the calmer way to burn incense — and the tidier one.
How to Use
Lay a stick in the channel, light the far end, blow out.
Close the lid — the openwork vents the smoke.
One 21 cm stick burns through in roughly 30–40 minutes.
When cool, slide the ash out and store remaining sticks in the same box.
Care
Empty ash after each use; wipe the wood with a dry cloth — never wash wood. Keep the box off fabric and finished surfaces while burning, just in case.
Pairs With
Our sandalwood sticks and the brass stick holder for the days you want smoke on display instead of smoke through a lid.
